ENVIRO has developed this STPP free laundry product to reduce the impact of detergent use on the health of
our waterways. This detergent is not only low impact, its also an excellent performer in the wash.
Sodium Tripoly Phosphate (otherwise known as STPP) has been an important ingredient in commercial
laundry detergent since its invention. Unfortunately it is also very damaging to the environment, and is directly
responsible for the algae blooms (particularly Blue Green Algae) that are choking Australian waterways.
STPP acts much like a fertilizer when it is dissolved in water & causes aquatic vegetation like algae to grow
more prolifically than it would naturally. This results in reduced oxygen levels that are known to threaten fish
and other aquatic life forms. Therefore, one of the best ways to ensure the health of our waterways is to reduce
the amount of STPP we release.
